DivorceCare, a weekly support group will begin meeting this Thursday, from 6:30 – 8:30pm here at the church, Faith Community Church 401 Stone Street, Beaver Dam WI. It is designed so that people can begin attending on any week.
Topics include “Facing My Anger”, “Facing My Loneliness”, “New Relationships”, “KidCare”, and “Forgiveness”.
During the first 30–40 minutes of the meeting, each DivorceCare group watches a video seminar featuring top experts on divorce and recovery subjects. These videos are produced in an interesting-to-watch television magazine format featuring expert interviews, real-life case studies and on-location video. After viewing the video, DivorceCare group participants spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented in that week’s video seminar and what is going on in the lives of group members.

More than 22 million children receive free or reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program and the National School Breakfast Program. For many of these children, school meals may be the only meals they eat. What happens when they go home over the weekend?
For the past couple of years, our church’s BackPack Program has been helping children at Jefferson school get the nutritious and easy-to-prepare food they need to get enough to eat on the weekends. You may leave your donations in the cupboard in the church kitchen that is marked. Thank you for your generosity & faithfulness!
