Laurene Schumann, age 80, formerly of Beaver Dam, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Evansville Manor, in Evansville.
A visitation for Laurene will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Faith Community Church in Beaver Dam on Saturday, October 21, 2017. A funeral service will follow at the church on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Larry Meyer officiating. Burial will take place at Lowell Cemetery.
She was a past member of Faith Community Church in Beaver Dam, where church played a large role in her life. Survivors include her son, Eric & Joanna Schumann of Janesville, three grandchildren, Mitchell, Julia and Eva, sister Doris Hopp, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ed in 2006. Our deepest sympathy to Eric and the family. We hold fond memories of both of his parents.

Spirit Warriors will be meeting this Wednesday, October 11th at church, starting at 6:30pm and going until 7:30pm. DivorceCare, a weekly support group will begin meeting this Thursday, from 6:30 – 8:30pm here at the church, Faith Community Church 401 Stone Street, Beaver Dam WI. It is designed so that people can begin attending on any week.
Topics include “Facing My Anger”, “Facing My Loneliness”, “New Relationships”, “KidCare”, and “Forgiveness”.
During the first 30–40 minutes of the meeting, each DivorceCare group watches a video seminar featuring top experts on divorce and recovery subjects. These videos are produced in an interesting-to-watch television magazine format featuring expert interviews, real-life case studies and on-location video. After viewing the video, DivorceCare group participants spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented in that week’s video seminar and what is going on in the lives of group members.
