This summer our youth group will experience the great beauty of both people and nature in the scenic small town of Taylorsville, North Carolina from June 30 to July 8. By participating in work projects, running a Kids Club, helping at a local nutrition program and supporting a few other ministries, we’ll make connections with the people of the area while addressing some significant needs. In the evenings, our group will visit a cowboy church, experience the thrill of a homemade water park, hike to the top of Lowe’s Lookout and partake in a community cookout. Our sponsor organization, YouthWorks has partnered with this community since 2006.
Serving in Blue Ridge Mountains
We will serve through painting, cleaning, helping with yard work or doing other simple work projects.
We will plan and lead children’s programming, including Bible lessons, games, crafts and reading activities.
We will partner with local organizations to meet ongoing needs in the community.
During the week, our students may serve at one or more of the service options.
